Local search is all I do and that focus is the whole point.

I’m Maham Aslam, a Local SEO specialist working with small businesses across the United States. No paid ads upsells, no social media packages  just the discipline of getting businesses found on Google Maps and local search.

How I ended up specializing in local SEO

I didn’t choose Local SEO by chance. While learning SEO and working on real projects, I discovered how a well-optimized Google Business Profile could make a real difference for local businesses. Seeing those measurable results inspired me to focus on Local SEO and build strategies that help businesses increase visibility, attract more local customers, and achieve sustainable growth.

Why the specialization stuck: local SEO is the rare corner of marketing where the feedback loop is honest. A plumber either gets more calls this month or doesn’t. A dental office either shows up in the Map Pack for “emergency dentist” or it doesn’t. That accountability suits how I like to work  every task I do for a client should trace to a phone ringing.

What I believe about doing this work well

  • White-hat or nothing. Review gating, fake GBP listings, and keyword-stuffed business names work until they very suddenly don’t. I don’t gamble with profiles that feed someone’s family.
  • Specialists beat generalists in local. Google’s local algorithm behaves differently from organic search. Treating it as an afterthought leaves rankings on the table.
  • Reporting should embarrass bad vendors. If a report can’t answer “did the phone ring more this month, and because of what?”, it isn’t a report.
  • Small businesses deserve senior work. When you hire me, I do the work. There is no hand-off to a junior team after the first call.

Credentials & training

  • Local SEO Internship with hands-on client projects.
  • Continuous learning through industry-leading SEO courses and practical implementation.
  • Ongoing training in Google Business Profile, Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, and Local Search Optimization.
  • Active user of Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Semrush for SEO analysis and reporting.
  • Committed to following Google’s latest Search and Business Profile best practices.

The tools I work in daily

Local SEO runs on data, and I keep the stack lean: Google Business Profile and its insights, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics form the reporting backbone. For diagnostics I use industry-standard rank-tracking and audit tooling [PLACEHOLDER — name your actual tools, e.g. BrightLocal / Ahrefs / Local Falcon], plus geo-grid rank tracking so you can see your Map Pack position street by street.

How an engagement starts

Every client relationship starts the same way: a free audit. I look at your Google Business Profile, your site, your citations, your reviews, and the three competitors beating you — then send you the findings in plain English. If the problems are things I can fix, I’ll propose a scope. If they’re not, I’ll say that instead. Either way, you keep the audit.
